Sajid grills Sylvester Stallone, Akshay

In the past, Sajid Khan has interviewed some of the biggest stars in Bollywood on his popular chat show 'Sajid's Superstars'.

Wishing Lara Dutta a very happy Birthday

The above mentioned line might just pass off as 'mere words' to many, but for today's Birthday girl Lara Dutta, it is the way of life, for she is the one who lives by the saying 'God gives every bird his worm, but he does not throw it into the nest'.

For starters, it was actually Lara's decision of moving to Mumbai from her hometown Bangalore to pursue a career in modelling, that paved her way to become one of the '24-7 twinkling stars' of the tinsel town. Lara is often hailed as the 'thinking man's actress', who has no qualms in calling a spade a spade. A few of her 'hearti-facts' in Bollywood can be witnessed ( read 'experienced') in films like Andaaz, Khakee, Masti, Kaal, No Entry, Partner... to name a few. The fact also remains that the whole of Bollywood is waiting for the release of this PYT's next biggie titled Blue, more eagerly than scientists waiting for the Halley's Comet!

Please join Bollywood Hungama as we wish Lara Dutta aka God's divine gift to mankind, a very happy birthday, by posting your wishes below:

Sonakshi Sinha to make debut opposite Salman

Sonakshi Sinha would be making her debut opposite to Salman Khan. She gets to share screen space with none other than Salman Khan in her very first film, so she must be on the seventh sky.

The film would be directed by Abhinav Kashyap and produced by Arbaaz Khan under his newly launched banner Arbaaz Khan Productions.

The film is essentially a human relationship drama and is expected to go on floors in September, according to the reports.

Murugadoss now wants to direct Shah Rukh Khan

Bangalore (IANS): After teaming up with Aamir Khan in the hit movie "Ghajini", Tamil director director Murugadoss now wants to work with Shah Rukh Khan and says he is working on a story right now.

"Yes, I'm working on a subject. I had a meeting with Shah Rukh Khan once and I discussed a story with him. But frankly nothing has been finalised. We are still to meet many a times before a decision is taken," Murugadoss told reporters Monday at the launch of new Kannada film "Suryakanthi".

Murugadoss' "Ghajini", a remake of a Tamil hit, grossed about Rs.250 crore.

"Hindi film industry is big. The budgets are huge and we have freedom to narrate the film in a big way. I would like to direct one more Hindi film and then return to make South Indian films," he said.

The director says he incorporated several changes in the script of Hindi remake after watching "Memento".

"I watched 'Memento' before writing the script of 'Ghajini'. But one thing I have to emphasise here is that the characterisation of the hero was changed after I saw 'Memento'. In my original script, I had made the hero as a handicapped person after sustaining injuries. But I had changed it and included the memory loss syndrome after seeing Memento," said Murugadoss.

The director also said he had several rounds of discussion with lead actor Aamir who helped him to create a different script.

"You can see the change in ambience, narration in the Hindi version of 'Ghajini'. I couldn't have made a frame to frame remake of the (Tamil) film. I agreed with Aamir Khan that the climax needs to be changed. And his suggestions were really helpful in adding valuable commercial elements in the film. Aamir Khan is a brilliant actor and director," said Murugadoss.

Apart from Aamir starrer, Murugadoss has so far directed three Tamil films - "Dheena", "Ramana", "Ghajini". He has also directed Telugu film "Stalin" that had Chiranjeevi in lead role. All his five films have been big hits.

A graduate from the Bharathidas University, the 37-year-old director says he writes his own scripts and that reading books and interacting with people help him in writing good stories.

"A director should have a world view. His vision can not be limited when he takes up different type of films. I am interested to know many things and would like to do more research whenever I intend to work with innovative concepts," said Murugadoss.

Sajid grills Sylvester Stallone, Akshay

However, never in his wildest dreams would he have thought that one day he would get to have a rendezvous with one of Hollywood's biggest action stars. Yes...we are talking about none other than Sylvester Stallone, legendary star of films such as the Rocky and Rambo series.

By now it's common knowledge to any film buff that Sylvester is doing a Special cameo in Sajid Nadiadwala's much-awaited Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq. As a part of the making of the film, the makers decided to have Sajid Khan do a Special kind of an interview featuring Hollywood and Bollywood's biggest action stars-namely Sylvester Stallone and Akshay Kumar.

Sabbir Khan, the director of the film, confirmed this news, "Yes, we were shooting at the Kodak Theatre in L.A. when we decided to have a tongue-in-cheek kind of an interview with both Akshay Kumar and Sylvester Stallone. Luckily for us, Sajid Khan was also in L.A. at that time and we thought who better than Sajid with his vast knowledge of world cinema and incredible sense of humour to do the interview."

As for Sajid Khan, he surely had a blast sitting amidst the two fitness freaks, one of whom (Stallone) is heavily into gymming and weight-lifting while the other (Kumar) doesn't touch weights.

Sajid apparently impressed Stallone with his knowledge about the actor-director who also writes screenplays. Stallone, who is known as the ultimate action-hero has also directed the iconic musical Staying Alive starring John Travolta but hadn't acted in it. Khan has brought to fore many such little-known nuggets of the Rocky star. "I know them both inside-out", says Sajid Khan with a smile. "At the end of the interview, Stallone told me if he wants to know something about his own movie, he will call me before logging onto Google," laughs Khan
